Cynopsis Sports Summit Returns on June 22
Top executives from networks, leagues, brands gather to discuss future of sports, media, advertising and technology.
New York, NY (May 6, 2016) – Cynopsis Sports, the leading daily publication for sports media executives, will hold its fifth annual Sports Business Summit on Wednesday, June 22 in New York City. The event brings all corners of the industry together to examine the game-changing developments taking place on multiple platforms and behind the scenes in the business today.
Executives from global brands, agencies, networks, and leagues, will share key perspectives on growing engagement, monetizing value and building communities by tapping into the unrivaled passion of the sports fan through content, context and digital connectivity. While the full list of speakers will be unveiled in the coming weeks, the June 22 Summit will feature a lineup of executives from companies such as AEG, Atlanta Braves, CSE, Eversport, FIBA, FOX Sports, Instagram, Intel, Learfield, Bruin Sports Capital, NBC Sports, Neulion, NextVR, Octagon, Oculus, Perform Media, Sportradar, Turner Sports, and Whistle Sports Network to name a few. In addition, attendees will hear a keynote from FIBA’s Secretary General Patrick Bauman and enjoy a Q&A with Octagon Founder and President Phil de Picciotto.
“As technology continues to profoundly impact how fans, media and sponsors interact with the game, we will explore its impact on marketing, engagement, and media as well as its impact on sports itself,” said Chris Pursell, Director of Sports Content at Cynopsis. “I look forward to hearing about how companies can prepare themselves for the changes ahead.”
New this year is a “Hall of Fame” networking luncheon and presentation, honoring the people who have taken sports and transformed it into a pop culture phenomenon. Details of this year’s class will be announced shortly.
The Summit, sponsored by NeuLion, Sportsradar, and rEvolution, will be held at the New York Athletic Club in New York City and will feature content-rich sessions focused on the state of the industry, new technologies and the new world of sports content distribution.
